Cool man, thanks for the post.
Just one thing- is it me or is there a big discrepancy in the results that the different magazines get? When "Car and Driver' compared the ZR1 and 911 Turbo, the 911 loses by a notable margin (im talking lap times here). But in the Motor Trend comparison (where they get nascar guys to do the driving) the 911 turbo kicks the ZR1's ass.
Likewise, more recently, on the Road and Track website they compare a 2003 911, Z06 and Acura NSX. In the hands of a pro driver, they all run within a second of each other around a track. Then in a different article, they compare a 350Z to a 911, M3 and Corvette. And guess what? The 350Z makes almost an identical lap time to the 911 and M3, but the corvette is way faster.
Anyone seeing some inconsistencies here?
Maybe some motoring journalists just dont know how to get the best out of more challenging cars?
