I have lost all respect for this car because of this:

What the hell are these Ford son-of-a-bitches doing to Ferraries?????????? HOW DARE THEY DO THAT!!!!!!!!! :x :x :x
If you ask me, its a very cheap way of making the Fort GT "better" than the Modena... if you buy your competitors car, pull it apart, know every single component of it, and then basically copying the entire thing, and make it better... :x Its something the Japanese would do!!!! And that sticker "I'd rather be driving a Ford GT"... actually, I'd MUCH rather be driving a Modena than this piece of shit... at least the Modena is original. :x

But, other than that, nice scan racer_f50

God damnit. :x You NEVER had any respect for the GT, don't deny it. All you had to see was the nameplate...Ford...and you dismissed the car with out further notice. It's not from Italy so it must be crap. I can't stand you people who completely dismiss a car because its American.

Well, they seem to be whipping Ferrari in performance, looks, and price... 8)

How dare they take a part a car?!? Huh...they payed for it, they can take it apart if they want. Who says they copied heavily or even lightly from the 360...they seem like pretty different cars to me, but you know I guess they must be exactly the same because those engineers at Ford are idiots.

What is this bullsh*t that you'd much rather be driving a 360 than a GT, have you driven either? I don't think so...and if you have good for you; but if you haven't then you can't say which is a better drive.

Btw, great scan racer_f50, I really enjoyed it.

sentra_dude, look: I have always loved the Ford GT. In fact, I like a lot of American supercars: the S7 and the Viper.

The Ferrari is more expensive because its HAND BUILT.

As for the second thing: YES, there is a problem with taking the car apart. Sure, they paid for it, but the point is that its a very cheap way of defeating their competition. Seriously, if you focus on beating one car so much, as to actually buying the car, take it apart, and analyze every nook and cranny, then it seems to me that they have no idea how to make a REAL supercar without gathering inspiration and information from others. True, I don't know if they took copied anything, but why did they take it apart in the first place?
And yes, they do look different, but I'm talking about mechanical similarities.

And the last thing: I haven't driven either, but subjectively I like the Modena more (the GT is too retro for my taste), so that's why I'd rather have it. And btw, I never said the modena was a better drive...

I believe the GT is, to some extent, hand built as well...

Well, lots of companies use 'inspiration' when they are building cars, and so what. I think you’re right that Ford probably needed some help on building a proper supercar, and the GT wouldn't be nearly as good as it is if they hadn't tore down a couple of 360s, but I think that was to get them up to speed on what was expected of a supercar, and they took it from there...and did a fine job IMO. I understand that you were talking about mechanical similarities, and the 5.4liter s/c V8 doesn't has much in common with Ferrari's little high revving wonder, and beyond that it’s hard to tell, but from that article it seems the GT uses more advanced manufacturing techniques, at least with the aluminum structure and body panels.

Well, I'm glad you are not an American car basher...

I'm glad we have settled our differences!

But yes, the GT is an awesome car in any case.

If Ford is tearing down a F360 to do comparative(*cough* COPY CAT *cough*) test, I wonder what did Ferrari tear down to do test I think that's also the reason why Jaugar never succeed in F1, coz they have nothing to copy.

Credit always only goes to whoever produce the first one.

PS. No doubt, Ford done a good job with the GT, I never deny this fact..........
