Pontiac embarrasses BMW: "G8 > 5 series" net commercial.
So why is it better? Well, 8 > 5, simple mathematics. Haha, right? Wrong. Pontiac G8.
Arrogant, right? Wrong. Rolls Royce will be next.
This one is more epic though:
Anyway, new G8 looks like a great set of wheels! I'd hit it!

Ive hated how all Pontiac's have looked since my Fiero GT but that G8 looks way better than the 5 series. How bout that new Solstice Targa too. Sexy

I'm really loving the G8. Despite being a big fan, I must point out that Road and Track tested a 550i as getting to 60 in 5.1. I'd still take the G8 over the 5 series in a heartbeat though.
I really like how the ad predicted and mocked the reactions that most people would have to a G8 vs 5 series comparo. Hopefully that ad has some success. Lastly. I've noticed the TV version is slightly different than the net version. For instance, instead of "costs nearly twice as much" they say "costs a lot more" on tv.

The LS7 powered HSV GTS will do the same for less.

THe Beemer has the snob appeal.. so for the folks that need a "brand" to compensate for other shortcomings, they make and sell the over-priced Beemer... for the rest they make the G8

The new Holden Commodore car and its associated configurations is probably head and shoulders the best car Australia has ever designed and made. All the money GM chucked at the project really paid off. I'd definitely take a well-equipped Holden over a BMW if given a choice, and I'm a hard-core Ford man.

funny thing about BMW's....
Owners love them
They love them so much, they LIE about reliability data.... BMW's for 2007 are lower in misc. reliability figures then even Mercedes is .... a real oddity this year lol
