Default Ferrari on top at the Friday Practice 2 on Melbourne...

Ferrari´s drivers Schumacher and Barrichello set the fastest laps on Melbourne on this first free practice. Schummy set a lap of 1:25.127 and Barrichello stayed near his back on the time 1:25.361.

Third and fourth places were taken for Trulli and Coulthard. Trulli lap time was 1:27.025 and Coulthard got a lap on 1:27.264.

I Guess that on qualify sessions Montoya will be the first. On this friday practice he stayed on the sixth place ahead his team-mate Ralf Schumacher, that got a seventh place.

Well let´s see tomorrow who´ll take the pole position

Holy shit,

something will go wrong this season
Assuming the track is unaltered since 2003 laptimes are down already:
2003 pole at Albert Park was Michael Schumacher with 1'27.173

Looks like Ferrari is flying. Rubens would have got a 1.24 if he wasnt redflaged.

And this is ottaly insane. 2sec over the last years pole!!!!!Lots of fuel or no fuel thats still a shit load of time!

any news on the radical front wing?

I heard they would be introducing it at melbourne, but it seems just a little late.

Perhaps just not necessary from the way the practice went

I fear Bridgestone found the good way for its tyres ! And Ferrari obviously didn't rest on his laurels ! I'm not "against" Ferrari but i hoped the battle to be rude, of course the we is not finished and it's only the first race but I hope this season will not be like the 2002 one because it's going to be boring !! Waiting for the qualifying session but i don't have a lot of illusions

Either the tyres are aero. But the other Bridgestone teams are on the bottom. So I don't know.

Damn, 2 Seconds is a shit load of time though. . . and no one is even close to them.

Man, this is exciting.

SWEAT!!!

What's the weather doing in Melbourne, it could be in favor of the Bridgestones?
Last year the difference between Ferrari and the runner-up Bridgestone was also appr. 1.5 sec.

I dont think the engine performance dropt this year but equals last years performance.
