Juha Kankkunen in aContinental GT smashed ice speed record
http://www.worldcarfans.com/news.cfm...e-speed-record
Juha Kankkunen has a Bentley winter driving school and I guess that was one deciding factor for this driver/car combination.

When the record was broken before, I managed to see the Bugatti, friend of mine was interpreter for the driver. Amazing car.
Both records were made 50km from here. Before that I remember one record attempt done with Renault 21turbo.

Impressive speeds by the continental, but why would that be their choice of car to break a speed record?

The car was not standard, try that with a normal GT and I would have real respect
