The Sea King has also proven to be problematic. Just after the 2004 tsunami, a Royal Australian Navy Sea King was delivering aid, and crashed whilst trying to land. This servo problem, now discovered, may be a reason. This is quite eye-opening.

Glad we have Chinooks, Cougars and no Sikorsky Helicopters!
Does this mean the Sea King helicopter also has faults?

^If it is the operation of the part and the way it is installed onto helicopters that is a problem, then that is worrying for the Sea King, and perhaps the Black Hawk as well (an Australian Army Black Hawk recently lost control whilst trying to land on a ship). However, if it is the compatibility between the servo and the S-76 itself, then things may not be so clear. Ah, I don't do this engineering stuff; I'm just postulating.

I know the RAF/SAR and the Belgium SAR use Sea kings, they better check them out...
Come to think of it KLM has many Sea Kings over here flying to the off shore oil rigs in the North Sea, they have had many crashes too over the years

^Yeah, the RAN's Sea King fleet has been wracked with crashes, and a few Army Black Hawks have gone down as well. This is groundbreaking stuff which could clarify the cause of crashes.
Thanks for clarifying, Mojo.
