Tulsa to Dig Up 50 year old Car
http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/01/23/bur....ap/index.html
I say prestine if it was encased in a box of some sort. A pile of crap if buried directly under dirt.

Oh nevermind. I thought they were going to unearth it now.

Wow. This is kinda interesting. I look for to June 15th to see whether they unearth a pile of rust or a working piece of junk

The 57 looks close enough to the 58 Fury.... so it is as if Stephen King's Christine is coming back to life

When the car was buried, a contest was announced to award the car and a $100 savings account to the person who came closest to guessing Tulsa's population in 2007.
|
I wonder what $100 of 1957 money is worth now.
This is quite interesting, although I reckon the moisture would've gotten to the car unless the box was very watertight.

I hope it's in good condition. But I find it funny that they promised the car to whoever guesses the population 50 years later...
I mean, surely cars would evolve over 50 years, and whoever guesses it right will probably be dead or too old to drive in 2007

Oh, it would probably go to next-of-kin.

That's one nice car, hope it'll look a bit like it when it comes from underneath
