That's really awesome 8), it looks almost brand new. Peat bogs are very cool, I believe they found a Celtic guy in a peat bog in the U.K. somewhere, and he still had some of his skin.
Thanks!

Very nice find Indeed, look at how the mud preserved the metal, you would almost say its in prestine condition
Only weird thing is that its a T-34 as used by the Russians in the 2ndWW, but it has the German Cross on it
Maybe it was captured and used by the Germans?
But thanks for this interesting topics

The article said it was being taken back as a trophy? Suggesting a captured souvenier?
No offense or nothing....but if we invade Italy, I'm gonna' leave with some prancing horses and raging bulls as trophys.

The article is more concerned with the bulldozer than the tank, but this is amazing, and 5 years old.

No shit it's still in good condition. Tanks back then were all about the thick stainless steel. The only thing worrying me is those idiots standing so close to that cable. My dad was an officer and I remember him once telling me about them performing a similar drill to get a tank out of a river. The cable snapped and cut a guy in half.

Yup. . . you never stand so freaking close to a cable that has tension. Once that baby snaps, there goes 1/2 the forrest and everyone else that is in the way.
But I think that they got some of those new cables that just fall to the ground when it snaps. Not sure if this is one of them or not.
Haha, I don't think that tank's surface is "stainless" anymore .
