Default Goodwood Festival Of Speed 2006 [HI-RES UP]

Not too many pics from me.

I went for the whole day on Friday and it was awesome to get up close to the cars and hear them running up the hill.

A Tornado jet also did a fly over which was mind-blowing. I have seen them before, but they never fail to impress me.

Of course there were plenty more cars there, but taking pictures was difficult because it was so busy, so these will have to do. And anyway, my point and shoot isn't really up to taking great snaps on track, or even of static cars.

Hi-RES UP

Thanks. I didn't get any more pics. I'm only using a DSC-T30, and Shutter lag and lack of a viewfinder makes it impossible to take good tracking shots. All i can say is that the Renault F1 car sould be heard a mile away

The experience was seeing the cars - your spot on. Taing pics was just a little bit of fun for me.

Yeah, the Caparo was there. It was in that Lambo orange colour, but it was parked right next to the Hulme car in a virtually identical colour - a bad bit of placement.

There was also the Ascari, BMW Z4M Coupe and loads others. :good:

Sure. I was using a crappy connection when i loaded these, hence the small images. I'll update later on.

BTW - is the Jota the real deal?

The 250GTO with the JCB sticker on it was the real thing wasn't it? The car next to it had a few differences (side gills etc.)

Great photo's, wish I could have been there too ... same here, high res images of the Lamborghini's would be awesome.

As for the Miura Jota ... it's not the real car, that one was totally destroyed in an accident years ago, but this one is an exact replica made in the Uk based on a, early Miura ... I've seen (and heard) this one and it is really a one on one replica, an exact recreation of Bob Wallace's race Miura.

Thanks for the info. So are there many replicas around? Or was this unique.

It was a fantastic event. Seeing the Veyron, FXX, 559 etc. going up the hill was cool. I'm already planning my return to Goodwood next year 8)

BTW - HI-RES added to first post :good:

Has anyone pictures of the Ford Capri RS3100 WorksTouringcar.
If my information is good it has appeared at Goodwood this weekend too.
Thanks in advance.

@ fsandys - the 360 CS was part of a demo stand for a wheel lock - a nice car to display your product on.

@ coolscarz - at least you took some pics of the Caparo and Hulme. I forgot about the 575M SuperAmerica, but it didn't look too good IMO. The rear windscreen is a really awkward shape :bah:

@ carmedia - welcome to JW. I didn't see any Capri's, but i missed a fair few cars that day - i still saw some of my faves though :good:
