Default Freeservers info

www.netfirms.com (very good unlimited space and fast download speeds, downside is just use this for the ftp, and only 1person can download a file at a time,)

www.1and1.com - free offer 500mb 5000mb of transfer, for free and php support, for 3 years , they just call your house (computer) that is it

Dude I know that can sound dumb, but IMO free hosts are to be avoided... unlimited is never really unlimited... if you'll use a lot, problems will start... a fast free server is utopic IMO.. and when you think you can have 1 GB of space and around 50 GB of transfer for 8 or 10 USD / month, I think you can't search for free ones anymore...

there's no such thing as free. if it doesn't cost you (or anyone) a bundle of hassle and confusion. i doubt anyone ANYWHERE would offer something that's fast unlimited and free when someone else could make money doing the same thing

Another thing, many of the cheaper hosting places will seriously oversell the space/bandwidth on their servers, because many people never use the whole of their package as its the only way they can make decent money selling at such low prices - and of course this means that you end up with slow / laggy response and nothing you can do about it, especially at peak times
