Yeah, thats the point, an engine requires to have the grA preparation (except the mitsubishi lancer and the subaru engines) and maintenaince in order to support the anti-lag damaging effect; furthermore, its compulsory to get some special petrol for feeding (a petrol vith very few octanes) if we dont want to get the engine destroyed inmediately even with the grA engines

Most work by injecting air into the exhuast manifold and a special tuning for the fuel maps (tuning not always needed). The special tune keeps putting fuel into the motor when you let off the gas (will also sometimes cut spark) and then when the gas flows through the cylinder and hits the already very hot exhaust manifold that has some nice fresh air being injected into it, the new air fuel mixture goes boom. and then spins the turbo some more.

^^^
At the time of the works Sierra Cossies and also the Escort Cossies there were rumours about a system that also injected fuel into the exhaust. I only know the rumours, so anyone knows more about this system? I thought this system was banned in rallying in 1995. I also thought the air injecting systems are illegal in rallying, but I'm not 100% sure of that.

I have seen a Audi Motorsport exhaust manifold from a Sport Quattro, and it has passages and fittings for fule and air injection into the exhaust manifold itself. They did'nt have electronic fuel injection back then

Today all you need to do is to keep the throttle slightly open, pulse the injectors and cut spark. With proper programming, you can do this and still keep exhaust temps within limits even though the manifold ans exhaust housing quicklt will become overheated.
