Guess these cars (tough one!)
OK, now it's my turn to make a difficult quiz for you, guys. Guess the makes (and if you can, models) of these cars. Sorry for the quality, they've been scanned from a mag.

So far only sndr has given the correct answer: it is UAZ 3160.
dani_d_mas was also pretty close on #4, so I'll count his answer: it's a Laura Mk III, based on Pontiac Fiero. I reminded about it when we talked on another tread about huge Russian Hummer-alike a month ago. This one is from the same manufacturer, but can be ordered with any other chassis/engine of a choice. Oops, sorry, sndr, you get 2 points, not 1
So we are left with #1 and #3.... #3 is really tough one, let me know when you give up

2. Some sort of Tata? It looks like the Mercedes star comes from a pillar in the background that is visible through the window of the car.

Alright, I'll give you some clues: both cars come from Eastern Europe. #1 is production car, while #3 is a concept.

I can't answer about any of the cars, but I'm just suggesting that you try the function called "Descreen" when you scan from a magazine to not get the pixels all visible and stuff...

So here this little contest have come to an end and these are the answers:
1. Zaz 1103. Arman got it half correct: it is a Zaz, but it's not a Lada Samara copy. Zaz was introduced only 2 years after the 3-door Samara, in 1986. Although the design is similar, the Zaz is a bit smaller and higher. Originally it was introduced as a 3-door hatch, followed by a 5-door hatch, estate and a pick-up in the end of 90s. No idea if it's still in production.
2. UAZ 3160. A successor to the old rugged Uaz jeep, the star of Rembo 3 and several James Bond movies.
3. Laura MkIII. Made in St.Petersburg by a small company that specialises in one-off cars and jeeps.
4. Cardi Body. Yep, that's its name, "Body"... Made as a concept-car by Moscow tuning company Cardi on Lada Samara spares. The company have built another couple of models in several exemplars: also 2-seaters, also on Lada spare parts.
