That shows the hardware at work and it does look damn good, but I am going to reserve final judgement until I see some real-time/gameplay videos. I am also interested in the final price. It is said to be quite high.

I heard it is going to be significantly higher and they were going to justify the cost with performance. Let's hope that your sources are correct and it is near the 360's price.

the killzone and motorstorm vids in that trailers are just rendered video using the ps3 spec. i dont think actual gameplay will run so smoothly. Specially where the soilders are talkin to each other. supposidly the ps3 will have the edge on graphics, but the xbox360 and process much more and have more things happening. But i guess only when ps3 comes out we will see 4 sure.

Those are basically all pre rendered videos. They do look impressive but I'm curious whether the console will be able to handle such graphics in real time.

The PS3 should be able to take the high res mesh's easily - the lighting will be the hard part

great compilation vid, very entertaining. but yeah, as Daggernite said, a good portion of those weren't actively rendered on the PS3 hardware, but only simulated. But if the PS3 comes close to that, particularly with Killzone's smoke volumetrics, this thing will be a hell of a powerhouse
