SL500. City in motion
This is very interesting Project I work on in 2003, It is called [CITYinMOTION] basiclly, showing Dubai city. Due to the studied that Dubai is the fasted growing city in the world, the camrea was the only eye to show that. So, the concept was to have a car in Freez mode, and the city blurry! Usually, we see the car is blurry if it is zipping by quickly.
This project was Displayed in exhibition, and hoping for another one soon.

heh! Thanks. It's more of an abstract i think, the Idea is not developed, Yet! But I love those shots, and I believe that by sharing them I would understand more from other people what they do see from them. Do they see City or the Car? Do they see the images in Motion or Frozen in time?
I have alot more, I did print an image on canvas of 1.1m x .8m, it is BIG, and beautiful.

Thanks guys,
It is a secret that I will give away to JW only, I use a Suction pod, that Suck's the glass, hehehe.. !
 $35.00
http://www.rtsphoto.com/html/cullm2a.html
Then I mount the camera on the side of the car or on the door or on roof line ( Make sure that the mount is not going to fall, usually I and keep it for a min or so, then i check by shacking the camera slightly)
Exposed the image just for 1 or 2 sec, not more or you will get the bad vibration of the car. Set the camera angle , and drive the car at a speed of 3 or 5Km/h ( Slower the sharper the image, because it tends to shake a lot from the car/street vibrations)
I know I bored you with this silly technique, but simple. If any one tried it, please show us here.
Enjoy

I am really happy that you liked my work, Let me tell you that I was very SHOCKED when I did get these results, they were unexpected.
I will be working on a new once, with a better theme. ! Do you guys have any idea? Maybe combining cars and people. Or Users!! making some kind of a connection between Us & Them!... or, showing Speed.VS.Freez concept ....
Ouuf! I am so tires, and I have a plan to catch to HongKong. 9hr flight

YES! Thanks for posting the whole load of city in motion pics of the SL, Omran! I really dig these pics. I just can't get enough of 'm
And thanks for the explanation. I wouldn't have thought you have to drive so slow to be able to get a clear pic. I was guessing more like 20 or 30 km/h if the road is flat.
