hmm my favorite GT has to be the 250GTO.
As for prototypes........hmmm to hard to choose. p4 is gorgeous, but the 512M has that badass canam look.

At that time yes, there was. It was another Italian brand, that had red colors waaay before the Ferrrari did... I suppose that u know Dani to which brand Im refering to.
Yo SFDMALEX r u refering to Ferrari or Alfa when u say p4?.. Not that they have many differences...

Good choices so far ... These also deserve to be on this list IMO
Porsche 917K and 917/30

Bugatti Type 51
Lotus 49
Ferrari 641
AAR Eagle Weslake
Bentley Speed Six
Auto Union - any of them
Alfa romeo p3 as driven by the one and only Nivola

I agree with a lot of the entries so far.
What about these?
Ferrari 330 LM/B (IMO even prettier than the 250 GTO and the first car to exceed 300 km/h at Le Mans)
Maserati 250F
Maserati 450S

450S on the left, 300S on the right
Aston Martin DBR1

I never liked 330s long rear end, even though its needed for that extra speed. To me it looks out of proportion, like many of the old Le Mans speed demons....with their nasty long ass rear end.

^^ Interesting I like the long tail ones myself... there are a couple more drivers alive today thanks to the extra stability they afforded at 200 mph+

In cars like the 250 GTO and the 330 that have loong noses I dont like much the long tails. Its "2 much"... Its needed though as u guys mentioned.
I see that the Italians have a strong lead.. Heheheh
I saw that some of you guys included F1 cars also. Here's another F1 legend:

It's strange. The 330 LM/B basically has a similar rear end as the 250 GT Lusso, but I've never heard anyone complaining the rear end of a Lusso being too long... I think it's a more balanced design than that of the GTO.
Anyway, I love the SWB as well.

The 250 SWB is weird... It is "cute" but in the same time its brutal. I love it. It reminds me the Alfa Romeo 1900 SSZ.
I LOVE this topic.
