That's because it is. Apparently, you can't really see out of the rear passenger window, and the boot space is appalling.
Top Gear Magazine and EVO Magazine both said that the CLS seems closer in concept to the Mazda RX-8... a four door coupe.
Doesn't matter though, because the M5 beats it for sheer road presence (a standard 5's arches are already the most muscular of the germans on the road, but the M5's are even bigger) and overall performance.
I really wish Mercedes would just come clean, quit pretending to be a "performance brand", and return to their luxury car roots. At least that way, they can differentiate themselves from the competition, and establish itself towards a rather neglected target market. Besides, that's where they forged a name for themselves anyway.
