Default Mercedes CLS55 AMG Vs BMW E60 M5

For me the Mercedes CLS55 AMG looks much better than the new
BMW M5 and i really like the new 5 spoke AMG wheels!

Yup, it looks much more 'compact' and those rims are sweeeeet.

55 AMG looks more brutal, old school styling
BMW is more futuristic,

That's because it is. Apparently, you can't really see out of the rear passenger window, and the boot space is appalling.

Top Gear Magazine and EVO Magazine both said that the CLS seems closer in concept to the Mazda RX-8... a four door coupe.

Doesn't matter though, because the M5 beats it for sheer road presence (a standard 5's arches are already the most muscular of the germans on the road, but the M5's are even bigger) and overall performance.

I really wish Mercedes would just come clean, quit pretending to be a "performance brand", and return to their luxury car roots. At least that way, they can differentiate themselves from the competition, and establish itself towards a rather neglected target market. Besides, that's where they forged a name for themselves anyway.

That CLS does look really good - very curvy and sleek rear half. As for the rims though, I think i prefer the Bimmer's. The five spokes on the mb look nice, but fairly ordinary from what i can tell.

The CLS's rear looks like it's frowning, where the M5's front seems to be smiling?.. What do you think? kind of interesting personality a car can adopt i guess just from it's appearance..

Yep, in Germany there are already some CLSs (not CLS55s) on the street, and i can´t tell you how great it looks especially in black  Nothing beats Mercedes design at the moment!

I think the CLS looks better, but I'd rather have the M5.
