Default Ferrari FQC: Many Ferraris (death to 56K)

Well, today was the first day of New Orleans' French Quarter Classic. 8) They held the track event today...and holy shit was it amazing!

I would estimate they had at least 100 Ferraris there, maybe more...

When we got there...holy shit guys it was intense! It was way out in the middle of no where...but we could hear the scream of the 360GTs from about a mile away. 8) I have never seen that many Ferraris in my life...it was absolutely amazing. Many more cars than I was expecting! Around 11am they wheeled out the F1 car (F399 I think) and started it up. Holy shit that thing is loud...and fast too lol.

They also had a pair of Lamborghini Murcielago GTs which were running the track for pretty much the whole day. That is the loudest car I have ever heard...louder than the F1 car even. 8) It was also incredibly fast and the driver was a pro. They pretty much ran cars straight from when we got there to when we left...there were only a few minutes of silence the entire day!

About 30mins before we left I got my ride on the track!!! 8) A really nice guy gave me a ride in his 328GTS...holy crap it was sweeet! 8) I was pretty cramped in there...6'2" with a helmet on...haha, but damn it was fun. We came up to the entrance to the track and he asks:
"Have you ever been in a Ferrari?"
"No, never."
Then he did a really nice launch and damn it sounded great! 8) I was not expecting it to be as fast as it was, he was really hustling it around the track...so much fun! Wow, that was awesome...and tomorrow is the Concorso! So more pics to come! 8)

Me in the 328 just before we went out!

Heading out...

I'm glad you like them Jabba.

If its not enough that its a Miura SV...its a even more special than that, its got 450hp and its immaculate inside and out...and the interior is very comfortable . According to the owner, in Italy a year or two ago it won "Most Significant Lamborghini in existence" award, and I think 2003 best in show at the Concourse de Elegance in California...8)

I still need to watch the video we shot today, but I think we have some good footage of the Murci RGT idling and revving a bit, maybe tomorrow or the next day it will be ready for posting. Or maybe I will be too busy looking at Ferraris tomorrow and Sunday...you never know!

Mind blowing. As someone said above, you saw (almost) every car a man could want. I am extremely jealous. How was the drive in the 328?

Oh man, it was so fun! I just walked up and asked for a ride, and the driver's wife lent me her helmet. I had some trouble fitting in there, I kind of had to slump back, but it was fine. He did a very aggressive start, and he was really going for it, cutting the apexs and braking really hard. It was a short ride, but super fun. When we were on the back straight, the driver stuck his arm out the window...and I didn't really know why...then an F40 screamed past us, holy crap! It was over too soon, but serious fun.

Don't worry, my friend took a bunch more pictures, just have to get them....I was umm a bit overwhelmed and didn't take nearly enough pics...but tomorrow I'm going to take lots and lots of pics.

I'll get those pictures posted tomorrow. I can't transfer them from my camera tonight. I will also have some video clips... not to tease anyone, but has anybody seen an Enzo rip off?
