yeah. I dont know how SP2 fucked up your computer. It works fine for me and I never get pop ups nor spyware anymore. If anything, Google and Yahoo Toolbar works good.

I dont know about you, but I dont need popup blockers
I use Mozilla Firefox as my brouser (It has popup blocking in it) that takes care of plenty. Norton Internet Security 2005 blocks out other sites... and well just make sure you have no spyware using Spybot Search and Destroy.
With this combination, I havnt had problems with pupups.

i use Maxthon as my browser, it has an inbuilt pop-up blocker and has tabbed browsing, which is cool
but the coolest thing bout it is it has aliases, so i jus type 'jw' in the address bar and it automatically goes to jabbasworld!
it's based on IE so it ain't too bad

Firefox is still the best browser according to popular and profesional choice. It is so fast and so good. Now, its not even a beta. No more 0.9.X it now is Version 1PR so its secure to get.
