Default Pop up blocker

i want to know everyones opinions on pop up blockers, i tried out XP2, but it fucked up a couple of things on my computer, so not gonna go for that, and dont really wanna switch to firefox, thanks

google's works fine. just get the google tool bar and you're set. there are a couple of sites it missed occasionaly though, but it's not too bad. I've got 633 blocked so far

google is ok but there is a big hole in it and its easy to exploit, i got up to 7000 blocked then went to firefox.

well, the only site tht i go to that they slip through is ebaumsworld.com and imageshack.

but now i have sp2 on my xp and no need for popupkillers or virus scanners asnymore..

yeah. I dont know how SP2 fucked up your computer. It works fine for me and I never get pop ups nor spyware anymore. If anything, Google and Yahoo Toolbar works good.

I dont know about you, but I dont need popup blockers

I use Mozilla Firefox as my brouser (It has popup blocking in it) that takes care of plenty. Norton Internet Security 2005 blocks out other sites... and well just make sure you have no spyware using Spybot Search and Destroy.

With this combination, I havnt had problems with pupups.

i use Maxthon as my browser, it has an inbuilt pop-up blocker and has tabbed browsing, which is cool

but the coolest thing bout it is it has aliases, so i jus type 'jw' in the address bar and it automatically goes to jabbasworld!

it's based on IE so it ain't too bad

Firefox is still the best browser according to popular and profesional choice. It is so fast and so good. Now, its not even a beta. No more 0.9.X it now is Version 1PR so its secure to get.

thanks for the help, and SP2 didnt really screw up my whole comp, just made a shitty dvd burner that a friend gave me cause it didnt work on their comp not work on mine, so i gave it back and got a new one, and reformated with a copy of XP with SP2, and everything is peachy
