Default Wealthy old farts racing rare classics @ Lime Rock - 66pics

Last month I went to Lime Rock for their annual Vintage Racing Festival presented by BMW. Saw some amazing cars and took way too many photos. There were butt-loads of people getting in the way while snapping shots of these beauties. I did my best, but they were everywhere. Here are about half of what's left to be edited.

Some cool cars found in the parking areas..which was a show itself!

BMW flew over a few cars in storage over from Germany and put them on display. Also took them around the track for a few laps.

Niki Lauda's M1 Procar

Original BMW Teile Schnitzer M3

Nice Monza getting fixed

3 Wheel Morgan

A bunch of Alfa's were ready to race, here's two of them

One of a few that showed up, this guy also had one prepped for racing

A REAL GT40. If only that bald dude wasn't there.

One of MANY Stingray 'Vettes

Monstrous Bently

Oh yea, some Ferrari's showed up as well

The rest of whats done can be found here:

More to come, hopefully soon.

I like that green MGB in the background on the first pic.

Ohhh man, can I pleease have that GT40 pic in 1024res!? How great did that thing sound? That is excellent, I love that mean stance, fucking awesome dude! 8)

I love the 'Vette panning shot as well, and some nice Ferraris mixed in there too. Is that Bently a former Le Mans winner? Really nice pics, thanks for sharing, must have been a fun day.

I like the last pic.

edit: nvm, I found the original GT40 pic on your website dutchmasterflex

It's hard to believe how big that damn Bently was. It seems all race cars from that day were HUGE. I have photos of another monster, an Alfa with a giant straight-8 which won the first race of the day.

I have no clue which is the 512S sorry :bah:

that black CL amg is so sick. anyone have an idea of what those go for these days?
Yes it was open to the public, all you needed to pay was an $40 entry fee. Luckily my friend knew a guy at corporate BMW.

I have no clue what those AMG's go for... I slightly remember the owner saying that he spent a long ass time either looking for it or rebuilding it.

Yep, all photos can be found in ginormous size resolution on my site by clicking on the photo in each slide.

That chick was standing all by her self under a tent with one of the ugliest classic Ferrari's I've ever seen. So plain and blah:

Over here it's called SEC and the AMG-version is pretty hard to find and pretty expensive.
