I hope they don't take the more overtaking idea, as in lowering the cars performance

Some pretty predictable survey results, more overtaking and less driver aids are definitely needed to keep the sport interesting.

I share your wish that the FIA doesn't reduce performance in attempts to increase overtaking, because so far their attempts have failed horribly. Ditching the traction control would be a great start, and maybe regulating the bodies of the cars a bit more in regards to the airflow over them. I think it was Brundle who said during the last race that the cars are relying far too much on the tops of the cars to produce the downforce, and that's causing the very turbulent and hot air behind them. Using more undertray aero would probably help that greatly.
