I don't think you can. IE6 should install right over it I believe. I'm sure someone else can clarify this for you.

Go to your Control Panel and click Add/Remove programs and go down to Microsoft Internet Explorer Version... and click it to remove it. that simple but you know that some things require it.

Oh I see, I thought you were installing IE6 over an older version.

Leave IE alone, you could end up killing your O/S, just dl Mozilla, and then DL Firebird, im using firebird right now.

You don't need to download mozilla to use firebird you just need Firebird alone. And I use Firebird on all my PC machines.

Well I use both IE and Mozilla
Never bothered to uninstall IE. Sometimes I use IE when everything else fails or when I'm just plain lazy

I strongly suggest you not try to uninstall explorer. Microsoft has been smart and whatever you load in windows (ie. mycomputer) is part of explorer.

Yeah don't remove exlporer you will probably run into problems pretty quickly. YOu can just have two browsers instead. Just don't use IE if you don't want.
