911 Gt3
hey
the 911 gt2 pumps out 477 Bhp
the 911 gt3 390
911 turbo 415
all have same engine (3.6) exept the turbo....
but the NA gt2 is the most .. strange.. hmmm...
porsche must be really good at making engines.. i bet its better than a bmw..
the highest bhp/liter by bmw is the m3 csl i think.. the gt2 blows that..

its already been mentioned..... but yes, porsche blows thier gt2, and thier turbo.
the world of BHP/Liter doesnt prove much of anything to me... what it comes down to is BHP/KG or Lb. and even that is a little lax, as you still need great torque... which is why cars like the viper and vette are so bloody fast!

LOL
A topic about Porsche with a bhp/litre claim...
I thought that was how riced Honda Civic's excused losing a race... - not how Porsche claims victory...

well with the engine at the rear ( where the majority of the weight of the car is), it makes it much easier for the car to get the power down and since it is directly over the rear, there is no loss of power. It used to be that this was a problem, because all that weight at the rear would make the car swing around during cornering, however now they have perfected the suspension and turned it into an awesome driving machine!

what i find most facinating about the highly developed 911 is how much more efficiantly the engine runs, while packing more power.... better feul economy, and more fun. what could be better?

I got bored driving the modern porsches. I am supposed to drive a GT3 soon, I passed ont he first one here. GT2 is definetly very fun, but it feels a bit...artificial.
The problem with a lot of the new porsches is that your grandmother could do 180mph. Where's the fun in that? Hoefully the GT3 will be visceral, but I'm not holding my breath.
I still can't get over how bad the Porsche interiors are.

The GT3 has a tuned version of the normal Carrera 3.6 engine , which has 300hp , the 477hp engine of the GT2 is dual turbocharged , the same as the Turbo which has something like 420

Hmm, i agree. Porsche probably does make better engine then BMW. But BMW makes excellent cars as well. I'd personally rather have a M3 CSL then a GT3.

Man are you crazy? I would take a GT3 over a CSL anyday. Porsche engineering is unmatched and the 911 is a much better performing car. Don't get me wrong, the CSL is amazing in its own right but I don't know if it can be compared to a GT3.
