Anybody know what the name of this car is. I call it the canto because it came out when the diablo replacement was supposed to be called the Canto. I really like it though.

mmm no...if I recall correctly...the canto was supposed to be a small lambo...just like the Gallardo, the car on the pic was supposed to replace the diablo...italdesign actyally made a full rolling prototype of the Canto...

Yep Chaos is right...the canto was ment to be a light version of the "Diablo" kinda like the Gallardo, it also had a V10...

i have afew articles which have stated that the car in that picture was an early protype version of the Murci...

^^^ I'm sorry, but Chaos and you are wrong. The Canto was meant to be the successor of the Diablo. It was a V12 car. Check the link TT posted above. It holds a lot more information.

The V10 prototype for a smaller Lamborghini (successor to the Jalpa) was called P140 and is a lot older than the Canto. Later, Italdesign built a concept car with more or less the same engine and named it Cala. Perhaps that's what caused the confusion (Cala - Canto).

I was the one who named the picture. I just wasn't sure but as the other thread shows this is indeed the Canto.
