Well, they were designing the car partially around that track initially. They ended up having to change the brake design because they weren't getting enough air to cool the brakes. They also may have tested it on different tires and that could account for 3 seconds on a track as big as this one.

I forgot to say that this was for the C6 not the C6 ZO6.
I have heard from a very very reliable source (he is involved with the z06) that the car with the time recorded was a z06, and not a supercharged one.
