I think this may be more a measure of the driver than the car - unless the new GT3 is worse than the new 911Turbo.

ntil now it has seemed that as the drivers skills with Porsches has increased, their lap times with the GT3 have come down to a point where the 911Turbo can't touch the GT3 on a race track.

Not only that, the 0.7s differenece can be explained by any number of situations - and lets see what the situaiton would be after the same driver had a 1000 or so laps in each car. I am confident (as are the Porsche engineers I am sure) that after a certian point the 911TT will go no faster while the GT3 would begin rewarding the excellent pilot with faster and faster times.
