I bought the 2004 WPP edition, when you are interested in what's happing on this little planet, these books will open your eyes from time to time for sure.
Together with the images comes a short story line which gives you an inside in the issue.

Apart from the World Press Photo books, you also have the ones by Getty Images. The pictures you will find in there are very extreme ... never bought one of those.
