with 8:25 mins at the Nurburgring the Cayman S doesn´t keep the promise and is about 14 secs. slower as claimed by the manfucturer and test driver Walter Röhrl. That is is aslo 2 secs. slower than the Boxster S before can be easily explained by the different track condition.

1:15.9 mins at the Hockenheim short track shows the true potential of this sports car, even though the PSM was disabled (as in all the sport auto Supertest) it is still present when the Cayman S comes tothe high limits.

0-200-0 km7H in 24.7 secs. shows the superb traction, accerlration and braking as could be expecedt by the power-to-weight ratio of 209 bhp/ton , nothing to complain about even though there is no lited slip differential.

the aerodynimc of the Cayman S is diferent to the Boxster S, the drag coeffcient of Cd 0.29 is lower and it produses about 5 kgs less uplift at the front and and rear axle.

1.2g max. lateral acceleration were achieved at the Nurbrugring only limted by the Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tyres in the Porsche N1 specification.

134 km/h at the 36m slaom track shows the perfect handling, slighly better than the Lotus Exige or Ferrari F430 (which is much heavier than these two)

with 145 km/h in the 110 m evasion test the Cayman S surprsingly is 6 km/h slower than the Boxster S before, again show that the tyres are limiting the perforance under different conditions.

at the wet handling track it becomes obvious that the tyres were optimized for that and so lack a bit in the dry., with 1:29.1 mins the Cayman S is as fast as the Carrera S and so much fastert than the Boxster S.

finally there are just marginal differences between the Cayman S and Boxster S but this differences makes the driver to opt for the one ot the other.

He later said that the track WASN'T wet but the article indicated that the PSM and tires performed better in the wet. A majorly disappointing time imo.
