But yes, I see what you mean by the highest trees catching the most wind. Another similar saying goes "how the mighty have fallen"... 
Oh well... I personally hope all bugs are kept to a minimum, and I'd much rather accept an electrical bug, then say... my brakes or seat belt failing on me  |
I'm not sure if you only speak of the 55 but the SLK comes with a six speed manual tranny as standrad in the 350. Hopefully Mercedes will have their own version of a DSG in the not so far future.
