General Guidelines for the Automotive Journalist

Italian cars - very exciting, stunning to look at, make a great noise, have passion (whatever the fu*k that means), should be chosen over cars that perform way better and are available for a fraction of their cost.

Japanese cars - technology laden, ugly, cheap, perform better than cars costing nearly twice as much but should be avoided because they don't have as much passion.

American cars - muscular looks, sound like nascars, outdated pushrod V8, live-axle destroys handling and ride, only good in a straight line, cheap/bargain, poor mpg.

German cars - occasionaly make good looking cars, definitely make fast cars, they're efficient, if you're testing any car besides a porsche they're boring, and if you ARE testing a Porsche you must be sure to mention that it is the best/purest sports car in the world.

British cars - make beautiful cars, make great performing cars, in many cases unbelievably unreliable.
