Yes, USPS does not care or even try to take care of people's property when being shipped. Many of the boxes are tossed about as if they were filled with nothing of value.

Thamar is correct. By excepting the package, you were pretty much telling them that all is right. They can now say that the damage was done by a careless owner and not one of their employees. You need to file a complaint as soon as possible with pictures and documentation of all the damaged parts.
