ADAC GT Masters: team title for flatex reiter

The 2008 season’s final event was held at Sachsenring, where both
Team and Drivers’ Championships were still up for grabs. Before the last
two 60-minute races Team flatex reiter still had chances of taking the
Team Championship crown, Christopher Haase / Albert von Thurn und
Taxis in #1 Lamborghini Gallardo the Drivers' Championship.
In first qualifying Christopher Haase qualified his Gallardo on the third
row directly alongside his immediate title rivals Bergmeister / Bergmeister
in a Porsche. Sebastian Asch (ARGO Racing) put his GT3 Lamborghini
on pole position. Albert von Thurn und Taxis drove the #1 car in second
qualifying and was classified fifth.

Haase / von Thurn und Taxis reduced the deficit to the championship
leaders by several points by finishing on the podium in race 1 on
Saturday and, in doing so, kept the title fight alive till the last race of the
season. This race was dominated by their team mates Peter Kox /
Roman Rusinov. The flatex reiter drivers led from the start and won in
dominant fashion at the Sachsenring. Christopher Haase / Albert von
Thurn und Taxis scored yet another good race result by taking fourth
place, but narrowly missed the ADAC GT Masters title after 14 races.
This represents Albert von Thurn und Taxis’ second successive runnerup
finish in the series.

The Lamborghini Cup was won by Haase / von Thurn und Taxis. Kechele
/ Becker were second on front of their team mates Asch / Schmickler.

Italian GT: Twin victories at Misano

Giacomo Piccini and Matteo Grassootto extended their lead in the Italian
GT Championship with victories in the 13
th and 14th races at Misano. As a
result, they increased their points lead over their closest rivals in the
Ferrari camp and created the perfect foundation for the finale at
Vallelunga in the middle of October. Their MIK Corse team mates Cedric
Sbirrazzuoli and Glauco Solieri took fourth place in both races. The third

Francioni Filippo claimed fifth and seventh positions.

Belgian GT Championship:
Endurance instead of sprint

The Belgian GT Championship entrants completed a 2-hour race run
under the title "Francorchampange" last weekend at Spa. JD by
Astromega sent two Lamborghini Gallardo GT3s to the grid. Henk Haane
/ Patrick Cuesters finished the race in 10

Thiers took the chequered flag in 15
th position.
