With the zillion programs addressed at them, kids often choose based on such relevant topics as the music or the face of the presenter. Sadly the contents or the solid knowledge of the presenter are rarely the principal aspects considered in many shows of this kind. |

I have a 10 year old -and can tell you that the
science based programs really do need to have some basis in fact and skill in the presenter for kids to key in to them - if he isnt spot on with his facts and content he will lose - children are NOT stupid.
Fantasy and kindergarten shows such as Dora and Blues Clues and Postman Pat etc re way different to Bill Nye the Science guy et al
