It wouldn't suprise me to see blu ray become the TV tech standard; yet unable to win in the mass consumer market.
the sad thing is, people actually shelled out 600$ for a PS3 because its the cheapest Blu Ray on the market.... yet, sony controls the price, and will maintain levels to keep the PS3 wihtin a margin, until outside-ish forces force sony to drop the retail on blu ray consumer players...
