Renault were not the only team using the damper system, Ferrari even were. But the point is look at what Renault have been amazing at the last two years -brilliant traction out of those corners. If the Renault chassis main emphasis is on this good traction than surely the mass damper would be a very important piece of the chassis?

Thus affecting balance, thus affecting tyre wear, thus making non adaptive Alonso drive like s***
