No. You want it to blow up at the line in case this is a new engine. If he crosses the line, that means a 10 spot grid penalty for the next and final race

Remember Jenson's engine blew up 500 feet from him taking 2nd place a few races back and he pulled off 20 feet before the line to avoid that situation.

i don't think it'll matter though. He can't handle the pressure. Last year he knew Michael was a sitting duck and Kimi would undoubtedly retire with some mechanical failure so he had nothing to worry about. This year though, he actually has to back up his title, and now that Ferrari is back in their rhythm, Alonso is having a hard time proving that he earned it.
