The Dark Knight has some very interesting social commentary and raises some interesting questions about the human condition.
I was just telling RC the same thing yesterday. The movie is very heavy; but there were some similarities to how Begins was done.

Begins undertones were "you must learn to do what it takes, even at the cost of lost lives" (in some other words that Ras al Gould was teaching)

The Dark Night was "being the hero we need, and not hero who is necessary" (again, something like that)

But, that was only a small part of the movie.

Heath did a fantastic job... in many ways.... he is definitely the most psychopathic, demented, and twisted character, right to the root of his core I have ever seen in a movie.

The movie is a lot to think about; and may not have been the best thing to see the night before getting up early to drive something very cool...

It is dificult to encompass the entirety of the film in a small review... but the two-word review.

Fantastic, heavy.
Heath did at least as good as Day-Lewis in "there will be blood"
