"A sad commentary is that when one of these individuals was arrested, they inquired as (to) whether or not his arrest and incarceration would have an effect on him becoming a federal law enforcement officer," said Ralph Partridge, special agent in charge of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration in San Diego.

Sadly
many people are of the entitlement mentality, and the ends seem justified by any means - and they are now shocked that behaviour outside of the legal and moral norms of society should affect them negatively.
Very sad indeed.
Perhaps they were hoping to just restart the mission... wait, its their real life, not a GTA mission
