here you can read up on the VW group. and actually VW buying Audi is not all bad. you don't seem to be seeing the good side of it
well for one thing technology can be exchanged between the brands. also smaller car brands like Bentley profit from such takeovers, they also profit from the technology that VW can provide. All in all it's not bad and beside Audi is still doing their thing fairly well imo
