First Formula 1 Night Race Confirmed For the first time in Formula 1 history, we can look forward to the first night time race which will be held in Singapore on 28th September after the FIA officially confirmed the event. Construction for the new street circuit in the Asian city began in August It remains to be seen how driving in night time is going to affect the drivers, however it is unlikely to bother current world champion Kimi too much as the Finnish ice man has had to deal with about 3 hours daylight during the winter in his native Finland.
