Even if your comment about Eurocars coming pushed to upper level isnt true, it is true they are pushed further than their American counter parts why is that...
I have trouble understanding why they dont take the vette the gt and the viper further as they have only been scratching what the engines can do with the right massage....
I dont think its because the engineers cant do it as almost any hillbilly who anything about engines can get more from them in his shed.....
So why is it, do you know the reason for this RC?

Cheaper, it costs money to build a more highly stressed engine. Case in point, how much does a 500hp M6 engine cost vs. a 500hp C6 Z06 engine? I think there are advantages and disadvantages to both approaches, although having lots of power for cheap is pretty nice.
And yes it may be easy to extract more power out of the Vette engine or FGT engine, etc. but it would no doubt increase the cost of the motor. Even if aftermarket parts cost only a small amount, to get that same increase from the factory would cost more because of more rigourous testing, etc. requited of OEM parts (and those cheap V8 mods such as exhaust, headers, cams would probalby ruin the motor's ability to meet sound restrictions and also kill that nice mpg).
RC or some other American car guys correct me if I'm wrong...

Yes I also tought of the cheaper argument, but it wouldnt cost that much more to get more ponies from the American V8`s and sound restictions and such are something all cars have to meet being Euro, Jap or American....
There are 2,2 litre cars running around here pushing 500hp and still meeting regulations regarding sound, and thats with home buildt exhaust systems.....
So if people can build them here the engineers at chevy ford and dodge should be able without pushing the price up to high....?
But to sum it up in your opinion, the reason for not getting more power form the engines are the manufactors sells the cars unrefined to make them cheap?
It explains the poor interiors of American cars tough....

All I meant about exhaust is, if you put on an aftermarket exhaust that gives say 20hp its may not be road legal anymore in terms of noise levels.
In my opinion they sell the engines in a lower tune and generally less complex than their European/Japanese counterparts to keep the initial cost down. So I guess unrefined, maybe more like: cost effective.

But I like all engines if they are sporty and make nice sounds.

So even if the Z06 gets the jump initially, he'll get that limp dick (except they all use viagara, right?), with gold chain, fake blond with her fake cans, feeling eventually. On the autobahn at least, top speed rules!

RC is going to flip off his rocker when he reads this haha
