I have been there and done that in a past life - and nothing changes - your region is an impoverished shithole dug out of the barren rock and populated by peasants and militarists that have continued a centuries old fight of oppressing their own peoples for power.
Funny how the "wealthy" class within each of the countries in the region never finds fault in their own corruption and dishonesty - always laying the blame else where.
