I think that has also to with the fact that the UK police are better payed than their Czech colleagues.
Anyway, Belgium police are one of the best payed, if not the best payed policeforce in the world. They are fairly honest and doing their job, but that is partially we have an organization named the P-comité wich you can call imediatly if you are treated bad, they will investigate and keep an eye on the officers that misbehave.
