Enough bashing. the smell, the soundtrack, the drama and aura. Only a few car can top what being in an F355 means for me. A Miura for instance, but not many others.
I easily run out of words. I was in awe the whole ride, unable to speak, unable to concentrate on the road ahead: just smiling, being happy and enjoying it fully!

I totally agree with your driving impressions.
A modern sportscar can surpass a 10 year old F355 from a pure numbers standpoint. But it is in the character and the intangibles that makes a Ferrari memorable and IMO stand head and shoulders above normal sportscars.
I remember my first ride in the 355 very well - the sounds, the fury, the overall involvement in everything. It was magic. My heart was beating faster for several minutes after I got out of the car. The adrenaline was coursing thru.
I no longer give a fuck about the usual pub chat about road test numbers or Nurburgring lap times or whether a car can pull 0.99gs in a corner. I am not Michael Schumacher nor do I have the skills to achieve those numbers in normal driving. I am out looking for an involving ride. I have one in the 348 thankfully. Unfortunately a 355 was quite a bit out of my reach. Maybe one day ....
