I don't think TG would be 'boring' without the extreme stuff, I think a huge part of my interest (at least) is based in the presenting style (banter, etc.) the way they drive, review and describe the cars and so much more. It's like your best friend and a fellow performance enthusiast standing there.
Also, TG has some fantastic post production and creative filming, I have huge respect for the guys behind that.
P.S. I'm not too far from Leeds either.
