Default Maxim Magazine (October 2006) Comments on Koenigsegg CCX

Maxim and the like (Stuff, FHM) are really geared towards younger college crowds with their editing. In any case, there was some useful and interesting information about the CCX in this month's magazine, beyond the comment "Nothing says "Your Countach Blows" like cooler doors."

The CCX's drag coefficient is just .30, letting it hit a top speed of 245mph, second fastest for a production car, behind the Veyron at 253mph.

Koenigsegg created the world's first carbon fiber wheels at a $13,000 option, which saves 6.6lbs. PER wheel over the standard magnesium ones.

The ghost symbol on the car (which I could never figure out from the interviews, etc) is because Koenigsegg's Headquarters is an old air force base. The ghost symbol is the symbol of the squadron on JAS 39 Gripen fighter jets that called the hanger home.
