Yea that's mine. Sigh.
I know what the new engine suggests, and I do have an excuse, and I know no one will believe it. The oil pump failed on my way home from a long, terrible day (this is a story unto itself. Stupid girl my friend likes is drunk at a party 20 miles away and needs to be driven home. I let him convince me to drive and I lost my engine an 7,000 dollars), the intake cam siezed into the head, and it died. What really blows is the shop that did the work (a really good shop in Walnut Creek) would have charged 1500 dollars to pull the head. I figured it was best to get a new engine, and I pull it home to find out the engine's actually fine. The head (which I'm actually taking to be machined today) was the only damaged piece, save of course the oil pump. I've also a brand new Darrell Cox Racing oil pump good for over 500 hp, so I've got a perfectly fine longblock sitting in my garage. These parts don't sell. I'm selling them for 30% cost.
My honest opinion is this thing is going to turn into one of those Dodge Omnis. Remember those old little hatches? Only a VERY small group of people owns and mods them now but they love them.
And believe me I know I'm not getting sum of parts. Total this car has 20k in mods and labor, on top of msrp. I've spared nothing believe me. I've had the oil changed three times in 4200 miles, broke the car in without boosting at all for 1000 miles, and then filled it with race gas for 1000 miles to make absolutely certain the tune had time to work into the pcm.
Oh and the guy asking 15.8 only has about 3k in mods if that. Everything in his car is cosmetic save the SAFC which he shouldn't actually have gotten, since for the price and work you have to do to install it, with the stock turbo it'll make tuning it'll free less than 20 horses. The lowering springs ruin the handling. Goes to show they really don't help in price.
