btw, I'm buying VAG-COM so that I can fix the system errors my self

that's all for now..... I hope my next A8 will have some of the early errors sorted out...cause I will never leave Audi 8)
Lot of problems :sad:

Though a couple of these are maintainance issues ... oil changes, brakes, tires - will be common to all cars so it doesnt really count.

As for my 01 S4 with 46500 miles (74000 km) in nearly 5 years (its birthday is next month) - here are the issues:
a) Problem with rattling sunroof when it is in the tilt position. Turned out to be a faulty track which was replaced for free under warranty. Also got the sunroof control switch replaced
b) Coolant Temperature sensor with associated switchgear - $200

And that's it. Though there is a small fan near the AC unit that sometimes makes a buzzing sound for a couple seconds when the unit is started up. Pretty minor fault.

No other issues. I am very happy with the car so far. I just hope the Turbo killer lady doesnt appear - this is an expensive thing to replace - about $1.2k per turbo and I need two :faint:
