IMO the Golf would fight with the ST for the best all rounder spot. The way the power is delivered and the general "soft" feeling is pretty obvious: meant to be a small family car that could go damn quickly when needed, even lifting the inside wheel and all, and yet, without having the be raped to do so. And well, I am sure even with standard rims I'd take the ST because the soundtrack is much better and inside it you feel much more special than in a Golf that, to be honest, look like it's 1.6 sibling
