Hey, atleast they're recalling them My family's track record with Toyota has been amazing.. All of our recent toyotas (bought 10 years ago) have 100,000+ miles and have been beaten to death by a teenage version of me. And they still take a good beating from me

You bought the wrong toyota then.. they are economy cars, not sports cars. They are reliable, most likely you got a lemon. And another thing is to check the VIN for JP in the front which means that it was built in Japan..
