I finally got my camera this weekend...because of logistics it'd been sitting at my house for about two weeks waiting for me!

It's a great camera, I really like it, not heavy, easy to use, such a set up in the actual picture-taking side from the point-and-shoot I had been using. The picture quality is excellent as well, if not really a huge increase from the point-and-shoot I was using...but only an increase of 1megapixel or so from that camera...

In the first day I took over 200 pictures haha, the SLR really encourages you to snap away like mad!

I'm still learning how to use all the settings, but I managed a few decent pictures.

I think this pic shows how detailed the pics the D50 takes are, first the shot at full size, but down to normal res:
